- Cockle Bay - The application seeks approval to renew marine structures in Cockle Bay, including: • Demolition and removal of the harbour side jetty, promenade and steps, convention wharf and marina; • Provision of a floating pontoon and access ramps on the western side of Cockle Bay, with a drop-off and pick-up zone for passengers of charter and tourism vessels, private water transport services and water taxis to service the International Convention Centre and Darling Harbour; • Provision of a floating pontoon marina and access ramps on the eastern side of Cockle Bay for 40 short stay berths for recreational vessels up to 15 m in length, use of up to 6 of the short stay berths for permanent storage of charter and service vessels, a water taxi drop-off and pick-up zone, event staging and event barge storage area.
