I totally disapprove of this proposal. Pymble is a family suburb and Pymble Station is used by thousands of girls and young women everyday attending Pymble Ladies College. I feel it is entirely inappropriate to have a brothel in the midst of this suburb and particularly in such a public place. It will bring undesirable clientele into the area that has previously been a safe place for all the local youth and PLC students. The proposal to have a shop front advertising the business is particularly unacceptable.

I do not want to be taking my six daughters up to Pymble Station and walking past a brothel on the way, or past clientele heading towards or leaving such a place. One of the reasons families chose to live in Pymble is to escape these types of establishments and influences.

Please do not allow this application to be approved. As local community members who live within walking distance of this location, we do not want this facility to be expanded or indeed even operating in Pymble, especially given its close proximity to Pymble Ladies' College.

Please deny this submission and under Section 17 of the Restricted Premises Act 1943 we request that Ku-ring-gai Council apply to the Land and Environment Court to make an order that these premises no longer be used as a brothel.

It is totally unacceptable to have a business of prostitution in our local area. Please ensure you do not allow this application to proceed.

We totally disapprove of this proposal. We live close to the station and daily use the train and pedestrian access to Pymble Ladies College. Grandview St is used by many young children to wait for buses and parents before and after school.

It is totally unacceptable for Ku-ring gai Council to approve this application for a brothel in an area where there are so many school age children.

We request that the council reject the application and do not allow it to proceed.

I totally disapprove of this proposal. Pymble station is used by so many young people especially girls from Pymble Ladies College.

Having a brothel in this area is not acceptable to me as a local community member, let alone approving them to extend to 7 rooms with shopfront and even operate day time from 9am to 2am. This is totally unacceptable and inappropriate.

I strongly disagree with this proposal and I request that the Ku-ring gai council reject this application and do not allow this plan to proceed.

I object to this application – 150 Grandview St, Pymble to expand and operate as a brothel. Pymble, as well as the larger of Ku-ring-gai area, is a lovely family orientated area with children/young adults of all ages. Prostitution should not be allowed in this area, or anywhere at all for that matter. With its close proximity to Pymble station which is frequented by school children, this can cause serious security and safety issues.

I request the Ku-ring-gai Council to reject this application.

I strongly disagree with this proposal and ask Ku-ring-gai council to deny this application.

Both my young children use Pymble train station to board and alight in getting to their respective schools which I believe helps to prevent further traffic congestion in and around the school districts on the upper North Shore, I do not want them being exposed to such degrading and disgusting aspects at such a vulnerable age. I myself will not be shopping at these local businesses if this proposal goes ahead. Finally, I firmly believe that this will only go to reduce the appeal of Pymble as a suburb and devalue the area.

This is horrific! How can a responsible council even consider something like this in a family suburb? How can we allow our children to walk to school past an establishment like this? How can I explain such activity to my 10 year old daughter?
There are literally hundreds of girls around that area in a morning and afternoon. To approve something like has the potential to extend into other problems like drugs etc. It can't go ahead for the safety of our children.

I am shocked to hear of this proposal and most strongly object to it. Pymble is a family suburb and with so many young people passing through this area each day on their way to school, it is completely unthinkable to have a brothel so openly visible to these vulnerable and impressionable children. I had no idea there was even a brothel there and would move in fact to propose its relocation to a different part of town and most certainly not for its expansion.
I will not use the shopping strip anymore if it goes ahead and I will drive my children to another station to get to school.
The council cannot possibly entertain this proposal and expect to retain credibilty amongst local residents.

As a new resident of Pymble, I ask that you do not approve this application. We have relocated here because we considered it to be a safe and appropriate environment for our children, both of whom pass through the train station on their way to school. I believe it is an inappropriate location for a brothel, and it is inconceivable that you would allow a ground floor "shop front" in a street used by many hundreds of young girls.

I not only ask that you deny this application, but would also request that Council apply to the Land and Environment Court for an order that these premises no longer be used as a brothel at all.

I have just been informed by a parent of Pymble Ladies' College that such an establishment is within a residential area and within close proximity to the school where my four daughters attend. I am shocked and appalled that such an establishment was allowed to open and the idea of it being extended. I cannot understand why Ku-ring-gai Council would allow such a place in Pymble.

I am opposed to the proposal of its being extended and even open when my four daughters catch the train to and from Pymble Ladies' College on a daily basis. Not only is it unsafe but for it to have a shopface is unimaginable. Do we really need to display this service like it was a takeaway shop. It doesn't belong in Pymble and it doesn't belong so close to a facility (train station) that is frequented by girls on a daily basis.

Therefore, it is the responsibility of the council to set a good example to the community that they are indeed thinking of our children's safety and the tone of the area instead of lining their pockets. This application should be denied and the business closed.

Please do not approve this application.

This is absolutely the most unacceptable proposal ever. The residents of Pymble and the other communities of the North Shore have purposely chosen this area for many reasons one of which is to avoid establishments like this. Pymble Station is one of the areas of the North Shore where hundreds of children pass through it everyday. Is this what we want our children exposed to? I think NOT!

I have three daughters and the last thing that I would like to see is a brothel around the corner from our doctors office and pharmacy that we frequent. It is degrading to women and does not illustrate to my girls their value and worth. Eventually this underworld will devalue property and expose our community to a lifestyle that is not what many of us are wanting in Pymble, currently a family friendly community.

ABSOLETELY NO!

It is an extremely apalling picture to imagine young girls and small kids passing by a brothel everyday, so much exposed to something people of their age shouldn't be seeing or knowing!

We like this small suburb because Pymble is such a quiet, simple and safe community where life is so enjoyable; with a 7 room brothel on the main road that might have up to a hundred patrons daily, there won't be any parent who does NOT worry about their kids passing by!

Please get the underground thing out of the sight of our children!

DISGUSTING.
Please do not approve this application. My 12 year old daughter uses the station to commute to and from school each day and often has to wait for her bus for extended periods of time. Pymble Station has hundreds of young girls in the proximity of this establishment and it is totally unacceptable.
Pymble is a family community and this brothel should be closed rather than extended. If people feel the need to use these services they should not be doing so in front of young girls. Let them travel to somewhere other than Pymble.

I STRONGLY OBJECT to this proposal and urge Ku-ring-gai council to reject this proposal.

It is an absolute disgrace that we have a brothel in our nice family suburb and the children in the area have been subjected unnecessarily to its existence.

It is ridiculous that it is allowed in an area and location such as Pymble train station that has a significantly high use by children and teenagers.

The brothel should be closed down rather than extended and Ku-ring-gai Council should be doing everything in its power to do so, not only protect our family community but also our children.

Please do not approve this application.

I object to this application.
I can not see any justification for allowing a brothel to operate in Pymble. If people need to use the services of a brother then they should have to travel to a location more conducive to that business, not a family suburb, at the local train station where hundreds of young people move through the area. Have council lost all their moral values?
