- Description
- Picton Sewerage Scheme - This modification includes the amplification of the Picton Water Recycling Plant and the expansion of Picton farm. The proposed changes would provide additional capacity needed to service future growth, Inghams Turkey Operations and the Bargo and Buxton Wastewater Scheme up to 2018. The proposed changes would ensure that Sydney Water continues to comply with the precautionary discharge arrangement and Environment Protection Licence conditions (EPL #10555). The proposed changes include: • amplification of the Picton WRP, including: - a new intermittently decanted extended aeration (IDEA) tank - new inlet works to distribute flows to IDEA tanks - two new sludge lagoons - upsize of the tertiary filter rising main, flow meter and feed manifold. • expansion of the Picton Farm, including: - two new irrigation areas outside of the existing Picton Farm boundary for reuse of additional treated effluent. - a pump and transfer main to deliver treated effluent to the two new irrigation areas
