- The Sandstone Precinct - Staged development application in accordance with Section 83B of the EP&A Act 1979. This Stage 1 development application will seek to secure approval for a concept proposal only with subsequent detailed proposals (and physical works) to be subject to subsequent development applications. The Stage 1 DA seeks approval for a concept proposal for: • adaptive reuse of the Lands Building and Education Building for tourist and visitor accommodation, and ancillary uses; • concept building envelope up to RL58.69 (approximately 3 additional storeys) above the Education Building; and • concept subterranean building envelope below the Lands Building and Education Building including a new link between the two buildings under Loftus Street, and hotel associated ancillary services below Farrer Place and Gresham Street.
