Description

Reinstate balcony to the northern side of the building. The balcony was in a state of disrepair and was deemed unsafe by the builder. The proposed development includes the retrospective consideration of the demolition of a section of the first floor balcony and alterations to the north facing first floor terrace. Part of the terrace has previously been demolished, and a solid rendered balustrade has been created to the northeastern corner of the terrace which partly wraps around a small section of the northern elevation. The existing solid unpainted blue board is situated in the same location as the previous terrace structure and is proposed to be integrated with additional perforated steel privacy screen. This will essentially reinstate the balcony in terms of previous location and size; however, the bulk will be reduced by integrating perforated steel privacy screen on the northern elevation.
