I object to the proposed bottle shop at 10 John Street, Lidcombe.
There are already a number of places selling alcohol within the immediate Lidcombe town centre area, including DOOLEYS, another nearby club, and supermarkets that already sell packaged liquor.
I believe the area already has a high concentration of liquor outlets and there is no clear community need for another dedicated bottle shop.
Adding another liquor outlet may increase alcohol availability and contribute to potential issues such as anti-social behaviour, public intoxication, safety concerns and negative impacts on local residents, families and businesses.
I ask Council to carefully consider the cumulative impact of the existing liquor outlets in this area and the effect that another bottle shop may have on the local community.
For these reasons, I strongly object to this proposal.

I agree with the previous comment by Chris. There are 3 pubs around the station which all have attached bottle shops, plus numerous Korean retailers selling alcohol and shops in Lidcombe Shopping Centre.
Already the amount of drunken and disorderly behavior around the pubs and nearby streets has increased making it feel unsafe walking home from the train station at night time and increasing the amount of noise and disruption at night.
