I strongly oppose this development application on four grounds:
1. A drive-through restaurant, in fact a restaurant of any kind requiring extensive parking, is totally out of character with the village and the precinct in which it proposed. As Wentworth Falls is an attractive destination for tourists, this is doubling troubling.
2. The corner of Falls Road and the Great Western Highway is a busy traffic area. The development would only add to the congestion affecting highway and local traffic.
3. The proposed development is near a primary school. Encouraging fast-food consumption is simply wrong.
4. The proposed development is also near a creek the waters of which eventually pass into the Warragamba Dam. Refuse and rubbish which would undoubtedly result would be an environmental hazard.
