Proposal: Pruning of protected dead tree (Tree 19) under Section 173 Agreement AW552311P I am seeking Council approval to undertake targeted arboricultural pruning works on the dead protected tree (identified as Tree 19 in the Section 173 Agreement) located on my property at 6 Greenslopes Avenue, Mansfield VIC 3722. The tree is now fully dead and poses a safety risk due to the potential for large dead branches to fall. The proposed works involve the removal of all major dead branches and the canopy, while retaining the main trunk as a tall standing habitat snag (monolith). This will significantly reduce the risk to people and property while preserving the substantial habitat value of the tree, as requested by Council. An arborist report prepared by a qualified arborist (Cert 5 or higher) will be submitted in support of this application.
