Description

The Site Plan shows the location of the proposed concrete water tank. This is within the Outer Asset Protection Zone (OAPZ). The Vegetation Management Plan requires the OAPZ be managed to reduce the likelihood of crown fire, including a tree canopy of less than 30% and mowing of the understorey. The water tank has been sited so that no large trees require removal, only young saplings (mainly wattles) and undergrowth in the OAPZ. The water tank will store additional water in case needed in the event of fire.
