I strongly support DA/113/2026. With Randwick’s median rent sitting at $910 (the 5th highest in Sydney) we desperately need more purpose-built student accommodation to take pressure off the local rental market.

Why I support this:
- Building 9 storeys next to the light rail is common-sense planning. The focus on 100 bike spaces over cars is exactly what this precinct needs.
- 358 new residents will provide vital, daily foot traffic for Anzac Parade’s cafes and retail.
- These rooms provide an essential, affordable option for the people who study and work here.

Council should stop trying to block student housing and start supporting the density required to fix our housing crisis. I urge the approval of this variation.
