I oppose this application.
The hotel has already installed larger bench tables which take up too much of the footpath, and has a significant impact on pedestrian traffic. Where there is a person in a wheelchair, pushing a pram, or 2 people walking together, access is severely restricted. And if you have the same coming the other way, it's very congested. Oh and put a dog in the mix and its caos.
Putting in larger tables would then not meet the minimum standard width and clearance of the footpath. And, given there will be a tenfold increase in pedestrian traffic when the Balmain Tigers site is completed, reducing access to the footpath is hazardous and downright inconsiderate.
Keep your drinks inside the pub, or go back to small tables if you must.
