Ringwood North is valued for its green and leafy character, and these trees contribute positively to the appearance and environmental quality of the area. Removing six trees would noticeably reduce canopy cover and detract from the established character of the neighbourhood.
The trees also provide environmental benefits, including habitat for wildlife, shade, and improved air quality. At present, there does not appear to be clear evidence that the trees are unsafe or require removal.
If tree removal is being proposed on safety grounds, I respectfully request that independent arborist reports be provided to confirm whether removal is necessary, and whether alternatives such as pruning or ongoing management could be considered instead.
I encourage the retention and appropriate management of the trees wherever possible to help preserve the character and environmental value of Ringwood North.
