This is a rural area in an iconic scenic rural valley in the Scenic Rim. The last thing that is required is an unsightly and noisy caravan park. There is no justifiable need for a caravan park in this location. There is an approved camping ground further along Sarabah Road that is out of sight and serves this need quite adequately. Camping on rural properties is out of control with Council trying to control the activity. The town water supply from Canungra creek is adversely affected by these activities which is in no one’s best interest. An unsightly caravan park in this highly visible area will destroy the rural ambiance of this beautiful area

We are tired of noise from this facility with a recent concert and wedding. If it becomes a caravan park how much noise will this create?
This is a rural area and there is already a caravan in Sarabah Rd which is out of sight. How will a caravan park affect the water quality of the towns water supply? How will it impact on the wildlife and natural environment?
We only have a poor quality dirt road which will be badly impacted by increased traffic and much more dust will be generated. My family is already impacted by this dust.
This comment has been sent from an email address which is not ours because of internet difficulties with the Telstra tower.

So many old people complaining, hopefully they will go into a nursing home soon and we can build the biggest caravan park scenic rim has ever seen.

As a neighbour I have no problem at all with any development at sarabah winery. I have seen the levels that the owners operate at, and they run their business with high quality, and respect for their employees, neighbours and clients. This will breathe some much needed life into the area, both with potential employment for locals, potential extra business for local businesses and increase value in the area. This DA is just a re-instating of how it has operated in the past, only now being done correctly for all. To disagree with the winery to grow to its potential is a narrow minded view, and council should be doing all it can in its power to assist with people willing to invest in the region.
