Why would the land surrounding the kindergarten be needing to remove 9 trees.
Unless these are diseased or dying or a weed species Croydon Conservation Society objects to the removal.
Trees are so much better than shade sails, while they both provide shade, a tree breathes, absorbs water from the soil, and provides habitat for birds, which the children should enjoy.
This land is part of an ecosystem in an area to be daylighted from the current wetlands, it should be protected as much as possible in terms of trees and other suitable understory vegetation.
