Why designate trees as significant when council still allows them to be chopped down? A family member (also in Dulwich) managed to achieve a new build that incorporated a magnificent significant tree in the garden. Council should fight to preserve these trees instead of entertaining applications to remove them. Residents that can afford to live in the area, can also afford regular arborist inspections to assess and remove problematic limbs from these beautiful old trees. SAVE THE TREE AND ITS ECOSYSTEM!

It seems unnecessary to remove this beautiful and significant tree. It is located in the rear-most corner of the block , though likely over the new pool.
We are custodians of these significant trees and they should be retained where safe to do so, and maintained regularly by professional arborist services to ensure they remain safe.
I have the same situation locally and have my tree maintained regularly.
