Completely destroying Camira and turning into the surrounding area estates. This needs to stop. Allowing developers to cut up the blocks to squeeze more houses in. We didn't move here for the larger blocks and wildlife, slowly killing everything in the area and SE QLD.

We don't want Camira turned into a disaster like the poor residents in Bellbird Park are living through.
Camira is a suburb of incredible wildlife, trees and a lovely environmental feel. The destruction of our suburb needs to stop now - we did not move here to see purchasing of larger blocks to subdivide, make money and cause destruction. Do not allow this development.

I support this development. Camira has a lot of developable land which is within half an hour from Brisbane CBD. More affordable housing should be supported to allow first home buyers to afford and live within the amenities. The idea “‘not in my back yard” is selfish and does not help creating affordable housing. Even after the subdivision the lot is still 600, 700sqm which is big enough, unlike the 350sqm subdivision lot in Ripley and Bellbird Park

Small scale development are highly recommended. We are in a housing crisis. We are not building enough houses for people, especially affordable housing. Council should allow people to subdivide big blocks in Camira to create small lots for young families. It is unreasonable to keep 2000, 3000sqm blocks while in a rental crisis. More supplies are needed to provide more homes for people.

Peter and Jacob . Just curious , Do you live in the area ? It's the destruction of wildlife areas as well, we see more and more road kill now due to this. It's not selfish or unreasonable to want to live on a larger block or in an area with wildlife and trees and not be so close to neighbours. We worked hard in order to be able to have a bit more space and deliberately bought in this area for that reason. To see it now being slowly turned into all the other estates isn't great. 600/ 700sqm is still small especially when people build a house to fill the block and don't actually want a yard, care about the wildlife or trees, much like the people chopping up the blocks. Look at Logan road now and all the other roads, more house means more cars etc. once these blocks are gone they are gone, you can't make more land. That's the issue no one seems to give a s&$t about.

It is ridiculous some residents made a comment to stop small developments because they are selfish and just want the whole area for themselves, not creating extra homes for first home buyers and young families. The concept “not develop in my backyard” is the reason why we have a rental crisis now. They dont have this concept until they purchased a property and moved into an area. After they moved in, they tried to stop the developments and stop other young families to move in the area. While there is not enough housing for people, they worry about wildlife and birds. Are people more important than wildlife? Council should worry about housing for people first and ignore the loud noise from selfish and entitled residents

Small scale developments should be encouraged irrespective of selfish residents because more people need a house to live in. Does council want people to live in the street?
