I dont have an issue with the property being an air bnb however, with only 1 car bay available, I am concerned if there are more cars (especially if 6 people all have cars.

I oppose this application on three points
1. Carpark is inadequate for a six people dwelling. It is likely there could be 6 cars . The spill will no doubt impact on the already severely compromised 183 West Coast Highway residents. The resident’s will have no choice but to park here.
2. 6 residents in two bedrooms must be against some zoning law. Yes this may be unlikely but if it is an agreement then it could be abused ie cramming in students.
3. I doubt very much that the manager is available 24/7 with no way of policing it.
I have no problem with AirBNB as a concept.

I object to this planning application. I am a resident of 183 West Coast Highway, directly opposite the property in question.
This application for a change of use is directly in breach of two of COS's own policy guidelines for STRA:
1. The property only has two bedrooms yet is seeking permission for max occupancy of 6 (COS policy clause 4.4 (a) states a maximum occupancy of two persons per bedroom).
2. The propert only has one parking space; COS policy clause 4.5 requires a 2 bedroom property to have at least 2 parking spaces.
Parking is already a major problem for the area of Scarborough in the vicinity of WCH and Reserve Street
Allowing up to 6 temporary residents to rent at 8/178 will only add to these problems as guests will have nowhere to park.

I object to this application being approved.
I am a resident at 183 West Coast Highway, opposite the property applying and have a rental around the corner.
I have no issues with the property being used for Airbnb, however parking in the area is already a huge issue and with only 1 car bay, this could easily end up with 6 vehicles and 5 of them wouldn't have an allocated bay, the most likely place they will park is in our entrance across the road or on the side of the road.
I fail to see how they can have approval for 6 people to stay in 2 bedrooms also for health regulations.
Highly doubt that a manager will be available 24hrs/day...

I object to this application based solely on the issue of 6 residents and only one car parking space.
It is not appropriate to assume that other potential guests will just "find parking" as our own private parking is already abused by non residents, causing significant upheaval for us at 183 West Coast Hwy.
