I wholeheartedly support the mosque proposal in Austral. For me, it represents more than just a place of worship – it will be a space for learning, belonging, and social connection. Having such a facility close to home would greatly enrich not only my life but also the lives of many others who seek community, peace, and understanding. This project has the potential to strengthen bonds across our diverse community and foster a sense of unity and inclusion that benefits us all.

This is a grand initiative for our local community. We have a large Muslim community here and it's growing very rapidly. This will be a timely development for our community. This will be a very popular and excellent community hub for our local residents. I highly support this and hope this will go ahead
I support the proposed multi-use community centre. It will deliver much-needed facilities including childcare, education, recreation, and a place of worship, all within a well-planned site.
The design provides adequate parking and services, while offering real benefits for families, youth, and the wider community.
I respectfully urge council to approve this DA

====================
Dear Council Members,
On behalf of the local Muslim community, we sincerely extend our respect and appreciation to the Liverpool City Council for its ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community wellbeing.
We are writing to respectfully request your approval for the Development Application DA-390/2025, 315 Fourteenth Avenue, Austral submitted for the construction of a Mosque and Islamic Community Centre in Austral.
This project represents far more than a place of worship. It is a humanitarian and community-driven initiative that will serve as:
1. A centre of social harmony and education, promoting understanding, respect, and peaceful coexistence among all residents, regardless of faith or background.
2. A space for youth engagement and guidance, helping young people stay connected to positive values, education, and civic responsibility.
3. A hub for community service and charity, offering support for families, the elderly, and those in need through volunteer programs and outreach initiatives.
4. A vital spiritual home for hundreds of Muslim families in the rapidly growing Austral area, who currently travel long distances to attend prayers, community gatherings, and educational activities.
The establishment of this centre will not only fulfil the essential religious and cultural needs of the Muslim residents but will also contribute meaningfully to the social fabric of the entire Liverpool region. It will foster understanding, strengthen community ties, and encourage intercultural dialogue — values that reflect the true spirit of Australia’s multicultural identity.
We deeply hope that the Council will view this project not merely as a construction proposal, but as an investment in social cohesion, mutual respect, and community wellbeing.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and continued support for initiatives that enrich our city and bring people together.
With sincere respect and gratitude,
Daniel Obeid
