This proposed development application is totally out of character with the rest of the neighbourhood.
It is nothing more than a glorified shipping container, the applicant was ordered by the council to remove a shipping container from the block earlier this year.
It is completely wrong dwelling for the area.

The Class 1a dwelling proposed in this application does not coexist with the amenity of this street and suburb.
It is inappropriate in its location and physical features and detracts from the valued amenity of the street.
The existing gazebo that is proposed in the application to remain as a dwelling is a temporary camping style gazebo with tarp sides. This structure is already in a state of dilapidation and a visual blight on the neighbourhood.
The proposed dwelling is not suitable to the amenity of the street.
The proposed dwelling is incompatible with the current low-density residential character of the street, which is comprised predominantly of well-established, high-quality homes. Introducing a new structure of this nature and scale in this location would disrupt the cohesive streetscape and undermine the valued amenity and aesthetic standards that define the neighbourhood. The proposed development fails to respect the existing pattern of development within Bayview Heights and I believe it is unsuitable for the site.
As a resident of this neighbourhood, I am concerned about the impact this development will have on the character, amenity, and property values of our area.
The proposed house and gazebo are inconsistent with the established architectural style and high-value homes in the area. Our neighbourhood is characterised by well-designed, permanent dwellings that reflect a high quality, aesthetically pleasing streetscape. The industrial donga-like appearance of this structure is out of context and detracts from the visual harmony of the close.
The dwelling will negatively affect the market perception and value of surrounding properties. Residents and buyers seeking homes in premium residential areas expect a certain standard of construction and design, which this proposal does not meet.
