Thursday morning June 19 @ 9am @ son of a baker please come - WW (PR/Comms team) attending to 'please explain'. This is a HUGE DA, extremely significant and detrimental to our neighbourhood during what will be YEARS of excavation, construction and disruption - not to mention ongoing issues of trolley garbage, grog retail issues, etc etc

Subject: (DA-2025/157) Support for Proposed Development at 1543-1555 Botany Road, Botany, with Concerns Regarding Loading Dock Location.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my support for the proposed development of a shopping precinct at 1543-1555 Botany Road, Botany, which includes a Woolworths supermarket. This development is much needed in our rapidly growing community and will provide significant benefits to residents by improving access to essential services and fostering local economic growth.

However, I have serious concerns about the planned location of the loading dock, which is directly opposite my residence near Tenterden Road. The proximity of the loading dock to my bedroom raises significant issues regarding noise and heavy vehicle traffic. These disturbances could severely impact the quality of life for myself and other residents in the immediate vicinity, particularly during early morning or late-night deliveries.

I respectfully urge the planning authorities and developers to reconsider the placement of the loading dock or implement effective mitigation measures, such as sound barriers, restricted delivery hours, or alternative access routes for heavy vehicles, to minimize the impact on nearby residents.

We, as a local business owners, fear that a large supermarket like Woolworths will negatively impact smaller, independent businesses in the area, for example, the local IGA store business.
Residents of Botany are voicing strong opposition to Woolworths' proposed development, citing concerns about increased traffic congestion and the potential negative impact on local businesses. The development, a mixed-use project with a full-line supermarket, is seen as a repetition of a previous failed attempt, with the community still reeling from the lengthy assessment process and Land & Environment Court case surrounding the initial proposal.
As an owner of the local business in the area, I oppose the development.
