Another monumental failure of the planning laws. Margaret Street is very narrow and totally inadequate to accommodate this development. Traffic reports are a farce. Peak hour traffic delays in feeder roads beyond a joke. Half hour delays in traveling short distances commonplace. Back streets have become car parks. Might as well re-zone the Elizabeth Crescent island R4 high density and be done. There is no planning; it is all cramming.

Windsor Road should have been widened before ANY of these traffic generating developments were approved. THAT IS PLANNING. That is how it should operate; what we have is a shambles masquerading as progress. Elected and paid officials are a disgrace. Development consent documents worthless spin and lip service - unenforceable trash. Communities have no protection once the complicity is sealed.

Look at the daily news to see what is occurring in these centres; inadequate staff, child abuse, emergency management and evacuation procedures will be found wanting in emergencies. The coroner will have a field day and everyone will say it ain't my fault.

Well articulated Luke, I could not have said it better myself. You only have to attempt to drive along Balmoral Rd Northmead to experience the narrow and congested enviroment the poor town planning that granted a day care centre then installed 'No Parking' signs penalising the local residents from all sides. This was once a quiet residential street parallel to Old Windsor Rd.
DA & BA council revenue should not be the priority......town planning ought to be the priority!
