Totally unbelievable. What respite do local residents deserve? Keep it respectful; how can one be respectful when the planning authorities allow or even entertain such intrusive requests. Time after time DAs are modified in favour of the developer. NEVER and I say NEVER are these operations modified in the favour of residents. Always the thin edge of the wedge. Always granted an inch and then demand a mile.
What a corrupt process the State Government has enacted. It's time the position of Town Planner was abolished and the savings returned to the community. We have a housing problem; maybe the problem is too many child care centres are being approved at the expense of housing. There are several high rise apartment buildings in and near North Rocks Road. None have child care centres - WHY?
Do councils EVER lobby government or is their employment status more important? State and local government are a disgrace and a failure in representing the community.
