I wish to object strongly to D/2020/725/B modifications. I am an owner and resident at Surry Hills Village, living on level 5 of Bldg A looking directly at the hotel pool deck (about 30m away). The recent DA asks that the hotel be allowed to play amplified music from the pool deck from 10am to 10pm. This will severely impact my usage of my own balcony and my own quiet enjoyment. Also as my lounge area and bedroom also face west and the pool area, I will be unable to open sliding doors or windows without listening to music and being controlled by the hotel. We were not notified by Toga in the 2 previous DA's, the only community consultation being done in around 2020 with the residents of Marriott St. I see from the current DA that my apartment is one of the ones critically impacted by hotel noise, particularly amplified music. I also see that a years trial of amplified music was passed in the second DA which was a year before owners were allowed to settle and move in. I object strongly to amplified music as it ruins enjoyment of my own apartment and also for many others.
