Strongly support, this is a great place of high amenity near the harbour and blue mile, and high willingness to pay reflecting high and unmet demand, making it very appropriate to permit more housing supply as a response. The design photos look good, if anything it should be taller and more units allowed here. The shadowing projections looks negligible. We need more housing especially near the city here where the apartment overpricing is still large and growing, even the older units. Despite all the cranes, this shows a housing market lacking sufficient supply.

I don’t fully agree with Phillip Balding. I believe that council should respect the blue mile area and continue to limit the height of buildings so close to the ocean.
There is plenty of land and building opportunities further away from blue mile sits for huge development. Keep it at x4 storeys on Cliff Road and x6 on Corrimal street. We don’t want a ‘surfers paradise Gold Coast’ replication here. This limit will enhance the area and make it most attractive to visit as well as live.
