This seems to be a very large number of trees. Trees are so important in the landscape especially for urban cooling, habitat and character. I understand if there are safety concerns yet pruning is always an option.

That’s too many trees to go. What’s the reasoning? It’s such a nice treed sweeping bend. Not like they could fit a house on there. With a busy road nearby, the trees are doubly good for noise reduction and absorbing the additional carbon emissions coming from the roadway.

Cypress could be allowed senescence over a longer period of time by:
Planning for more area allocated to these trees, to outside tree canopies and root systems.
New buildings, back yards and road easements kept away from these areas
Stopping parking (occurring now) and other activities beneath these trees.
Regular Professional maintenance
