This must be a mistake since there are no documents with this application. Oh, hang on, this seems to be the case with people removing trees, especially with respect to our lovely blue gums that are quickly becoming a rare sight. Now, yes, I know those living in Chatswood likely have high hopes of creating a concrete jungle - applause to you for nearly achieving this. However, we need trees to survive. Our wildlife need trees to nest, for protection, for food, etc. We need trees for shelters from the harsh Australian summers. So, what on earth are people doing ripping all of the trees up. It is one thing if the tree is diseased or dying and is a real concern for human safety. But we rarely see any documentation with these requests. I must assume people are moving here and just wanting to plant pretty trees that don't drop leaves and look esthetically appealing. Sorry, but our Australian natives serve a very important purpose. I implore the council to request the reasons for the removal of this blue gum

Blue Gum canopy is the abiding characteristic of this area and is a precious feature which must be maintained - even enhanced with new plantings.
Unless the tree is diseased this application should be refused.

Agree with Faith and David.
Council should be planting Blue Gums rather than fraxinus and jacarandas. These trees drop branches too.
