I understand this building is in the Artarmon Conservation area. As such it will be protected from demolition. However, I do not have any objection to the land being used for a child care centre. It is a relatively large block of land that may allow a new structure to be built behind the protected cottage.

I object to demolition of this building due to its heritage and removal of the trees. The building can be repurposed as a childcare centre as has been done near the intersection of Mowbray Rd and Muttama Rd.

If the building is in the Artarmon Conservation area it should be protected from heritage vandalism. This does not prevent the repurposing to a childcare centre, but traffic and access via Cambridge Road (a skinny street of 3 lanes allowing a car to be parked on each side and one lane down the middle left for moving traffic) makes that look untenable. How about having a Doctor's Surgery there. That would be good.
