As a neighbour I object to the application for a new swimming pool.

My reasons are:
1. Equipment noise from the pool will affect the amenity of my backyard which will be adjacent to the pool.

2. Potential flooding in the area if the pool does not drain properly.

3. A pool was installed in 15 Ethel street in the past and resulted in sewerage backwash in 17 and 15 Ethel Street.

4. Changes in the land under and around the proposed pool due to the weight of water which may adversely affect my property.

As a neighbour, I object to the application for a new swimming pool for the following reasons:

1. Noise from the pool filtration will affect the quality of environment to my backyard.

2. If the pool floods, our property is lower than 68 Swanson, therefore, we have concerns about drainage and any possible damage to our property.

3. There were sewerage problems when a pool was installed in 15 Ethel Street (around 10+ years ago) which resulted in sewerage backwash inside the properties of 17, 15 and 19 Ethel Street.

4. Due to the weight of water from digging and installing an inground pool may adversely affect our property.

5. There is an easement (in the old soil cart lane) between the rear of our properties, so the Sydney Water has 24-hour access. Around these areas there is an intensity of Water and Sewerage pipes that should not be disturbed.

6. During construction, we expect that none of the building refuse be left in the lane way what to ever, as it is a private lane way in which the council will not enter onto to clear away rubbish.
