I am most concerned that the stormwater infrastructure already can't cope with storm water run off as a heavy downpour caused flooding in the yards and under the house of 46 and 44 Golden Valley road. The pipe is too small to take large amounts away so it backed up in the open culvert This was reported at the time but not acted on. Also a culvert had been removed above 41 and so places extreme load on the culvert on the side of 44 and 46. This culvert on the side of 44 and 46 is a safety hazard as it is a large open hole and never maintained by any authority. It cannot cope with a lot of run-off. At the bottom of 44 and 46 is a small pond which takes overflow and that area will also receive flooding.
Also the dam on King St, above 41 could pose a a future flood hazard to us all. This apparently has also been reported but not acted on. Everyone in the area is aware that the infrastructure already is not adequate for another 8 houses.
The roads outside of 41, 46 and 48 have large potholes so I hope all this is considered with extra traffic.
Already residents have to walk on the road to get past the culvert

Thank you

The dam mentioned in a comment above is refered to as "Kings st". There is no such location. However there has been a dam above on Kings Hill road and if that is the dam refered to it is incorrect that the report on the dam hasn't been acted on. In fact it has been stabilised in accordance with the department of natural resources and environment Tasmania guidelines after consultation with both the department and engineering firm Flussig in Bathurst Street, Hobart.
As the owner of the dam I have to object to any claim that the dam poses a risk to the community. It's empty! If there is a need to provide documentation for this I will gladly provide such.
