Can we please have further details as to this demolition and details of the boarding house?
Strongly support demolishing existing buildings and redeveloping. As it is right beside the train station, this is a perfect spot for high density housing, and commercial businesses. My only request would be that at least some of it be affordable/social housing.
Against over development and high density in this area due to flooding, narrow roads, high traffic and poor under graded amenities in the area. Marrickville requires road, drainage, streets and pedestrian upgrades first and foremost to handle the high population and existing community. No to further development until proper town planning and community amenities investment is made.
