I can't see any documentation to justify the removal of a native gum tree. This request must be rejected. Even if the tree was dying, there are arborists who can assist with converting this tree into a hollow to provide the needed habitat for endangered birds such as some owls and eagles. It's upsetting to the community to have to see these type of requests.
