I support the transfer of the liquor license if the new licensee intends to continue the premises as a restaurant. If however, and this is not forthcoming from the material made available to the public, the new licensee intends to operate a bar on the premises then would object to this. I and many others in Pearl Beach objected to the proposal some months ago for the cafe on the corner to be allowed to operate a bar. The same arguments apply re the restaurant. A bar in Pearl Beach would detract from the quiet enjoyment of the area.

It could also lead to loose bottles and cans in the dune and sand area.

I would object to a liquor licence being transferred if the use of the premises and operating hours are different from Pearls on The Beach Restaurant. I would also ask if the new operator has sufficient experience in the industry to properly conduct the restaurant business and serve alcohol. The restaurant changed hands from very skilled operators the last twenty odd years to a to a new operator where alcohol served didn't seem to be as advertised and food and beverage quality, staff and service were also extremely a poor. 2022/2023 Trip Advisor reviews highlight many issues.

As a close neighbor in a quiet area where sound travels quite a distance, late night patrons, dining outside or on the open veranda, or leaving under the influence of alcohol is not desirable. A licencee that is not capable of meeting responsible service of alcohol requirements would be untenable as a neighbour. Especially in the case of weddings and events.

I think it would be nice for locals to be able to have a catch up and wine at the bar and for patrons waiting on there seat
So it’s a yes from me looking forward to opening of the restaurant

as a local resident of Pearl Beach, I support the transfer of liquor license as per the application. The addition of a bar as a pop in for a drink located in pearl beach is supported. It would add to the social opportunities of locals and visitors.
