We are dealing with Australian Native Trees in this request being 2 highly valued gum trees. The reason provided is that these 2 trees are "dangerous". Looking at the pictures, these trees are not really dangerous just because some tranches have fallen as part of the natural process of nature. What may be a most appropriate action is rather to trim these trees, including the branches that may be likely to fall.
The council really needs to do the required due diligence with this request. The applicants have also failed to provide an arborist report which is a huge red flag.
