Removal of 15 trees (re Complying Development Certificate, DA 2020/40)

Government entities talk of the need to protect the green environment, and should ensure that priority is given to achieving that objective.

Unfortunately, the deforestation of the garden suburb of Chatswood is proceeding at a furious rate. Trees are effectively becoming an 'endangered species' and should be protected accordingly.

The extraordinary proposal to remove 15 trees is just part of a 'money making' scheme designed to cash in on the real estate value of a property with little concern for the environmental damage involved. Accordingly, I request that this application be rejected.

It is extremely disheartening to see this type of application where it is likely the applicants are able get away with the killing of 15 trees because of a DA has been approved nearly 3 years ago.
When is the Lane Cove council going to prioritise nature and green spaces over a sickening money making enterprise? Rejecting this request for a massacre of 15 perfectly healthy trees is clearly their chance to prove that what they preach about conserving greenery in the area and combating the urban heat effect is a top priority. This is what the Lane Cove residents also seek and the greenery in the area is the reason why we like living here.
It is hard just to remain civil with this comment to be honest. This application is simply shocking and must be rejected.
