I object to this development on the grounds that it will affect the amenity of the area.
There is a vey large social housing development at the end of Beaumont street and the addition of a boardinghouse development in such close proximity is unnecessary in terms of providing low cost housing.
I support social housing but there are obvious problems on the streets of Hamilton already in terms of antisocial behavior - I believe a “ for profit” boarding house development will further exacerbate this.
