I object to the proposed extension of trading hours. It will increase antisocial behaviour and environmental noise between midnight and 3am on week days. These hours must be protected to preserve neighbouring residential amenity. Drunk people walking past houses at these times will inevitably lead to crime, vandalism and noise.

In the last few years, King Street has degraded as a nightlife spot and it can be directly attributed to venues like the Coopers Hotel exercising minimal over the patrons attending, and no consideration given at all to their appaling behaviour once they leave. Extending hours to 3am on weekdays will mean we will just be seeing more of the behaviour we already see on the weekend.
When the bars start working together to clean up King Street, then they can show they deserve to be open longer.
