The developer of this site has broken every rule of environmental consideration. To allow ANY of the conditions to be removed would be disastrous. This is a hugely contentious site and the developer has thumbed his nose at every normal developmental control. Council MUST NOT allow further destruction of the delicate environment which ought never have been disturbed in the first place. Please take all steps to ensure that imposed conditions are met to the letter of the law!!!!

There have been far too many trees removed from this deplorable development already. The remaining trees are stopping slippage of clay and soil onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive, already a nightmare for local residents, especially the three homes in front of the entry point of the development. The fences can go around the trees. No more changes to the conditions around this development should be contemplated.

As an owner of 626 LHD I object to any of these requested changes. Permission was given based on an adherence to the conditions the court set out. Any deviation is not acceptable.
The developer has already caused widespread devastation by polluting waterways and also run-off causing excessive flooding in our backyard.
To cut down more trees as well as trying to avoid adequate stormwater on each lot is unacceptable and has potential to cause more damage. They have flouted a number of restrictions that council had imposed and enough is enough.
What is the community benefit of approving these amendments? None.
They have also been working most of the night last two Fridays, depriving us of sleep and making a mess of our roads.
Please think about the current rate paying residents and turn down this request. It is not the job of council to make their development easier and cheaper but to make sure they meet the requirements set out by the land and environment court before they commenced the works.

As just one of many rate paying Wombarra residents who have had to put up with this nightmare development, I urge council to reject all of the requested amendments. Wombarra Vista have never responded to objections from neighbours, they have repeatedly ignored council regulations and EPA guidelines. They are responsible for multiple documented pollution events, they have carried out illegal tree removal. They have allowed neighbouring properties to be inundated with clay slurry run-off from their development. And with their track record, even if you don't allow these amendments, they will probably just go ahead with them anyway. That's the way they operate. Council, you've let these cowboys bully you for long enough. Time to put your foot down.

We object to the proposed modifications to this DA. The site work has been a considerable pressure on the environment including clay sediment and water overflow. Damage should be minimised and not encouraged.

I object to the proposed modifications to this DA. The developers have shown no consideration to the slippage problems in the area (re clay sediment and water run off) and to allow more trees to be removed would be disastrous to this site and the surrounding properties. I urge the council to make this developer adhere to the conditions imposed for this development. No more changes to the conditions around this development should be contemplated.

As owner of 625 LHD I object to the requests put forward by Wombarra Vista
The approved DA was generous to begin with. Any deviation is not acceptable.
We have already seen widespread destruction by polluting waterways and neighbouring floodings.
Trees help support the fragility of this environment and allowing them to remove more will continue their destruction of our beautiful environment.
We have already seen the outcome of ineffective storm water detention deficits by the company, so any further downsizing of their requirements Is unacceptable.
We are all aware of the land slides and cliff slippage occurring across the road from the development. Their requests will compound this problem

I suggest that the appellation “Developer” could be changed to “Destroyer”. Those associated with Wombara Vista are already guilty of environmental vandalism by any measure. They have inflicted muddy misery on their immediate neighbours by failing to meet the requirements for storm water management set out in the original permission for development. The removal of trees undoubtedly also contributed to this. To remove further brakes on their disregard for the local environment would be unconscionable. I object in the strongest terms.

None of the requested alterations should be considered by council as the has been a contentious development from the start that has already impacted both the local community and the environment considerably.
Mod A: OSD needs to be maintained as we've all see first hand what issues recent rain events have caused. These were included for a reason, its also a safety issue.
Mod B: This development should never of been passed and to now request the removal of even more trees detracts even further from the area / streetscape of Wombarra.
The shear bulk and scale of this development is out of cartacter for the area and the fact this development went all the way to the land and environment court shows how contentious it is.

Wollongong City Council - please do not approve the amendment to this dangerous application.

This development has destroyed so much of the natural landform of the area. The natural aesthetics have long gone when the bulldozers removed all vegetation which was holding the hill together. Knowing the 'slip' history of the region and having lived in a property where chunks of land would simply 'fall away' after big rains, it is unconscionable and posing a huge risk to surrounding properties and the souls that inhabit the surrounding houses.

The unsightly wall does nothing to enhance the safety of the site and only adds another risk that potentially endangers the road and houses beneath the devlopment.

The current site is a mud bath and the removal of trees which were holding the site together further endangers the surrounding community, Lawrence Hargrave drive as well as the dwellings to be built on the site.

One only has to walk along the rock platform to the east of the site to see the instability of the land upon which the houses are being built.

It is environmental catastrophe and a scar on the community.
