Hallo,
There’s an amazing arts venue in this building. Emerging and established artists have used the space there, and its an absolute arts beacon in that stretch of High St. Thornbury needs a space like this: somewhere where string quartets can perform and visual artists can install things of wonder. Somewhere where creative artists can sell their wares and a place that provides a small, modest contribution to the arts ecology of the neighbourhood. If there have to be yet more apartments there, then that’s for the council to determine. But at least insist that the ground floor can continue to be used by artists and supported by the council and the community.
