Glenview st is a very narrow street, I have no idea why such a big centre was approved in the first place. We currenlty have major issues with all the trucks coming in and out of our street. We cant see to get out of our drive way, we have had our lawn ruined because the trucks are parked on the foopath in front of my house.
I have complained to council about it and nothing has changed. We as residents will get fined if we parked accross our driveway but the trucks from this construction site somehow can and no ones cares!
Please re consider their request to add ten more chidren per day which will mean ten more cars dropping off and picking up. There isnt any room to park on the street as it is!
Our narrow, quiet street has been distrupted by this huge developement and all the traffic from trucks loading, and unloading materials. We were also kept up until 11pm one night with flood lights on so they can pour concrete and wait for it to set!!

The majority of the residents in Glenview St fought for this development to not go ahead as it didnt meet most of the requirements for a childcare centre.(please refer to council records)
This was five years ago. Now to add another ten children per day will only increase the traffic and need for parking in an already narrow st.

I am saddened to see how the views of local residents are disregarded by GR Council. The addition of 10 extra places seems to be what the ECC wanted in the first place, but used this "minor change" as a tactic to get their way. I feared this type of "development" approval would happen when Kogarah merged with Hurstville (worstville). And sadly I was right.

George’s River council doesn’t listen to residents as you can see by the Palais building on the corner of Bonney Street and Rocky Point Road. The traffic and parking is atrocious and the residents told the council this would happen and the council just didn’t listen the same as Glenview St but if I said what I thought I would get sued so I won’t say what I think.Yes developers get what they want and can do what they want as the councils allows this to happen.
