New planning conditions encourage permeability of driveways and terraces. This is to allow rainwater to be absorbed into the ground assisting trees to survive dry periods and also allow land not to become overly dry causing dwellings to move and crack. Also the storm water infrastructure is not designed to accommodate increased capacity. CCS would like Council's environmental planners to be consulted about this particular application.
