I am worried about new tuck shop.
I wish the area to be clean & no waste policy so the birds & fish will not be effected by extra rubbish. We already have fisher people dumping their hooks & bait on wharf & seating. We have local boats that dump rubbish at the site. That may stop if a shop is active. We have locals dog poo bags left around. Need greater clean up from council.
I would like picnic tables for locals & new bench seats. The ones we have are covered in bird poo & rotting.
I would like the pelicans & native birds to be protected.
This restaurant was active for 30yrs & many locals think of it fondly. It was a labour meeting place as well. Can we have a plague that acknowledges important history.
I dont want a shipping container but a well built cottage with a extended balcony for shade as that area gets very direct light. It can be a elegant area that locals can hire for birthdays & dinners by water. Not a tuck shop but a morning cafe & evening bar area. Simple healthy eco friendly local only produce zero waste.

Why is this proposal so limited? Why is there not a high quality replacement restaurant proposed? This is no more than a coffee kiosk? This end of Balmain deserves a quality eating establishment like Fenwicks in Balmain East surely!! There is more paving in this purposely than seating.
