If the bus shelter is no longer required why introduce more advertising clutter for no public benefit. In 1960 Robyn Boyd wrote in his important book 'The Australian Ugliness'
'Australians are more prepared even than Americans to allow anyone with something to sell to take control of the appearance of their country'. Nothing has changed!

As a public transport user I find bus shelters are necessary and why would any thinking person replace one with an advertising billboard?
Did not see the post about not requiring the bus shelter.
Apart from clever TV ads like Toyota’s a lot of advertising is often more annoying than anything.
