Why is council allowing a massive developement that is in a quiet side street.Does this now mean anyone can build anything anywhere that’s just wrong

The Developers use a tactic whereby they get the DA approved and then add to the upper floor. This has happened with the 5 Wyuna Street development. They added a garden and entertainment area on top with views over the neighbourhood and into people's homes. In my case this addition provides views into my pool and outdoor entertainment area as well as through my glass doors into my dining area.
