There is already so much traffic congestion around the hospital .this is just going to creat more ……what infrastructure is being put in to cater for this many more people and traffic .

Lorraine, Property Delevopers don't care if there is no infrastructure or if people are overcrowded!
Its All about the Money!
Us Plebs are the ones that have to put Up with All the problems that go with any developments like this!
WE THE PEOPLE DON'T MATTER!
BUT PROPERTY DELEVOPERS CAN DO WHAT THEY LIKE WHILE LINING THEIR ALREADY DEEP POCKETS!
MONEY TALKS!

I am very concerned about the increase in traffic that this will cause in the area, especially delivery trucks. There is no right turn at the end of Somerset which means that any car or truck wanting to return to the East will need to go south on Somerset to the (small) roundabout at the corner of Somerset and Derby. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic using that roundabout and sometimes cars and trucks are not that careful about pedestrians. I am also concerned about the noise level from the proposed roof top bar and the dangerous potential of intoxicated patrons who may well walk around in the area and any associated antisocial behaviour. I will certainly be feeling less secure when walking in my own neighbourhood if this goes ahead. It is located directly opposite the Emergency Department of the hospital, so if someone is exiting the hotel car park unaware that there was an ambulance approaching under lights and siren

Once again council are not taking the concerns of local rate payers seriously. The last thing this area needs is a rooftop bar. It’s bad enough the amount of boarding houses now built in three streets. The traffic is a nightmare. So I can only imagine the congestion if this planned build is given consent by council.
