We are resident owners in Boardwalk 1877 Gold Coast Highway Burleigh Heads.
We wish to submit an objection to the proposed development on lots 1873-1875 on the grounds that the site will be overdeveloped and create major traffic problems for vehicles travelling south. It is noted that further development is also planned for the next block south.
Access to Boardwalk is already an issue and when combined with the Light Rail and closure of Second Avenue access traffic and parking issues . Where will residents from these units park. Parking is already a big problem on the Esplanade and if street parking is restricted on the Highway access in and out will be a disaster.

Hi, I live close to the Boardwalk and couldn’t agree more when the resident of this complex. The amount of development is becoming more than a problem it’s effecting all of us that live in this version small piece of the Gold Coast. The highway traffic is already at a stop many times of the day not just the usual “peak hours” as it now occurs regularly throughout the day. There’s no reason to accept another development when there’s already so many which includes a huge development of a 5 star hotel. The GCCC has to understand that there’s a limit to how many people can live in such a smaller area.

Good Morning,
As a resident in The BoardWalk at 1877 Gold Coast Hwy and long time Burleigh/Gold Coast resident I strongly object to this proposed development.
it is way outside of the current Gold Coast Planning regulations.
It will also add more congestions to an area that it nearly impossible to park and drive around currently.
The impact on the surrounding buildings especially The Boardwalk in terms of privacy will have a sever impact on our liveability and will impact negatively the property values in the area generally. The sheer density of the proposed building in terms of bedrooms per m2 is so condensed that I personally don't see how the GCCC could even consider this as an option.
The over development currently happening in this area is taking away the lifestyle that so many visitors are coming to Burleigh in the first place.
I believe that the increased density is partly due to the proposed light rail which is years away so how can approvals be passed on something that is not even in place yet??

I would ask that you consider the residents of this area and the many Gold Coast locals who use this beautiful beachside area and DO NOT approve this development.
Enough is enough !!!

The amount of development in this small area is absolutely not in the best interests of the people who live here. We pay rates and are the local community but we have no voice when it comes to what happens in Burleigh. I am opposed to making this area wall to wall high rise residential. The traffic and parking problems this and the development planned for cross the road (old blue Motel), combined with the Mosaic development and the other huge development on the esplanade show no consideration for the people, the environment and sustainability.
I ask this application and the proposed one across the highway are reconsidered and rejected. Preserve this part of the coast and maintain the appeal that makes it so beautiful. The council is concerned only about $ take stock of what you are doing and listen to residents for once.

I strongly objecting to this proposed development at Gold Coast Highway Burleigh Heads. First of all it’s way outside of the current Gold Coast Planning regulations.

Please consider the people who currently live, work, relax and socialise here and not just constantly chase the developers dollar as you are destroying a beautiful part of our city.
