To Moreland City Council,

I am a home owner on Sedgman Street and strongly contest this development.

I am writing to you because I strongly object to this 6 storey tower proposed for a parcel of land bordered by my street and a beautiful park in Brunswick East. I am particularly concerned about how this proposal will impact

MY CONCERNS
My primary concerns and objections to the current proposals are:
1) Inadequate community information and consultation about the proposals
overshadowing of parklands and loss of winter sun in particular negative impact on vegetation and wildlife excessive heights and bulk which will overshadow and block our street (Sedgman street)
2) Threat to neighbourhood character pressure on public infrastructure, with the developers reaping all the benefit of attractive front and backyard with views, and having no responsibility for maintenance of public land urban heat island effects
car parking.
3) The natural light and carparking on Sedgman Street will be immense and all home owners on this street will be heavily impacted by the devlopment.

Please do the right thing for local residence in this area and reject this application.

In addition, these proposals ignore Council design codes that protect character and if they get the go ahead, they set a dangerous precedent for the adjoining warehouses.
