Hello,
Can the council specify what the covenant is please as it's hard to find this information on the actual application? Not sure what 'spear' refers to?
My concern with the application to remove a covenant is that it will set a precedent for more covenants to be removed so as developers and others can just subdivide to their hearts content and without a care in the world for the amenity of what once was a coastal village town, that is fast becoming an overdeveloped suburb.
Covenants are placed on properties mostly to protect the land are they not? Protection from such things as future subdivision and subsequent vegetation
removal. If they are removed to allow for subdivision in particular, then why have them in the first instance?
The council must not allow removal of any covenants that were placed with a view to protect the environment from being overdeveloped. It is imperative this doesn't occur if we are to protect Mornington and all other Mornington Peninsula towns from becoming true metropolitan suburbs. We can't refer to Mornington as a regional town anymore council??
Hopefully the council will reply to this comment or contact me, as it hasn't on others.
Thank you.

I agree with the commenter listed above. It is very hard to ascertain what is planned at this address without detail about the nature of the covenant. Can council please supply more detail of the covenant which is requested for removal in order to be transparent with the planning process?

I agree, it would be nice to know what they have asked to do?
Hello Shell. I understand your concerns but when you live in the street and you want to add a small dwelling for your family as it a large land area and houses are hard to buy now, it can be frustrating. The covenant was out there a very long time ago and we do not want to see too many units going up like on the corner but lift it so we can accommodate our own families in these hard times.
