The building may well be in a bad state but it can be rebuilt. It is a single level building and any building work should retain that. The idea of a 3 storey replacement is another get rich quick scheme from an out of suburb developer. The reason people want to live in Balmain is the unique character of the suburb. If the owner of this building doesn’t like that they can go and live in Baulkham Hills.
