I am objecting to the plan at 143 Surf Parade Broadbeach.
170 apartments on 39 levels is an oversized building on a small corner footprint.
It will cast shade on adjacent homes and contribute to traffic and parking constraints on Surf Parade and Brittania Avenue.
Please reject this plan as Broadbeach is beginning to reflect all the high rises and busy traffic flow of Surfers Paradise.

I agree with George and wonder when the new draft city plan will be adopted. At the moment greedy developers are taking advantage of lax guidelines, with no regard for the neighbourhood. They are ruining Broadbeach, next Mermaid and Burleigh. There are plenty of large parcels of land around the GC that could be improved by smart development but no incentive when they can just replace a block of 6 units with 170.

Hi George
I count over 16 lots on Surf Pde alone now amalgamating to development sites.
It’s what our misguided council wants. (rates).
Those who are left won’t recognise Broadbeach in 5-10 years.

Another high-rise which is going to fill the streets nearby with cars as the majority of owners have 2 cars and the streets are already quite full.

We all know now that the current mayor will not be voted back in next time. If he does get back in the vote is rigged

We can all comment here - but firstly we need to channel our concerns and direct these concerns to our local councilor.
Perhaps we need to form an action group to make our voices heard.
It’s time to take action to protect our Broadbeach lifestyle.
