This is a small walk up unit site with others right next to it. A 180 unit tower is not suited to such a small block, boundary green space, privacy, fair access to sun? The developer needs to use one of the many large parcels of land available or buy up about 6 of these small unit walk up blocks to be fair to the neighbouring properties

Broadbeach is pretty much finished now as a nice place to live thanks to the GC council and developers. So sad.
There are hardly any car parks at night in the area and this is only going to make it much worse
Yes totally agree with Enid
Broadbeach was a great place to reside in.
Mostly low rise.
Council now turning it into another Surfers.
More high rise sorry that’s Towers
More rates collected.
We are living in Surf Parade and dealing with the new 32 storey tower being built next door. Cr Darren Taylor came to our property to see the damage done to our boundary just to get the foundations started.
The GCCC is reviewing the proposed developments against the City Plan (which of course tick all the boxes as the architects literally take paragraphs out of the plan and paste it into their proposals - word for word). During this approval stage no consideration is given to neighbouring properties. They are reviewing the offsets from boundary but do not look at the actual building process, or the size of the foundations below ground, that are required to enable a structure of that size to be built and the impact it has on the surrounding boundaries and properties.
With Broadbeach being on the light rail line, there are no restrictions for height apart from aviation requirements so we are currently in a no win situation. At this point nobody is taking responsibility, we tried to find where the buck stopped to get some answers but, other than being sent to QBCC, nobody can help. Cr Taylor is trying to have the City Plan changed but unfortunately it is too late for the poor neighbours of these current developments already approved for construction.
What a disgrace. The shadow cast by this monstrosity will travel hundreds of metres. Joke on them that they will enjoy the same effect from the 52 storey job in Rosewood Avenue. By allowing this the area will be stuffed. Thanks to the GCCC for nothing. Should rename the suburb Surfers Paradise South. If we wanted to live in Surfers we would have bought there. Don't bring it to us. Good for Tate's developer mates but nobody else.
